mental_mouseThe Insect Apocalypse Is Here (NYT): Or at least, approaching at high speed. We've all heard a lot about individual species becoming endangered or extinct. What this article is describing is something worse: The food web is burning, from the bottom up. It's not just particular "important" species that are going missing, it's the bulk of insect biomass. This is really, really bad.
